DeShawn “D. Lee” Scott steers The D5 Group, LLC, a notable marketing agency in Northeast Ohio. Leveraging his education and 24 years of hands-on business and marketing experience, he provides valuable benefits to D5’s clients. In 2018, DeShawn broadened his scope, co-founding The Sound United Podcast Studio, a seamless solution for individuals, brands, and government agencies to create podcasts and audio content. In addition, he created Sundown Workshops, events designed for small business education and networking.

‘Empower’ is the word that encapsulates DeShawn. His belief in leading from the back stems from roles he’s held as a program developer, manager, and instructor, along with leadership positions within non-profit organizations. Previously, he shared his insights on various topical issues in his articles for the Tribune Chronicle. Today, he connects with the community as the host of the Sound United Presents podcast and as a sought-after public speaker at different events.
